Underberg in the Southern Drakensberg mountains of KZN – now a world Heritage Site – is a well known local and overseas tourist destination. The Sani Pass is reknowned world wide for its exciting 4 x 4 vehicle ascent and descent and boasting the highest pub in Africa.
There are three good tourist hotels in the area being the Goodersons Drakensberg Gardens Hotel, the Sani Pass Hotel and the Bushmans Nek Hotel – not to mention the well reknowned Himeville Arms Hotel – known for its historic pub and good food.
Most sporting activities from fishing to gliding (and everything inbetween) are available in the area – just ask! – with the

The Olde Duck, Grind Café, Lemon Tree, Trendy Bean and Old Stonehouse (in Himeville) provide excellent coffees and good value for money food.
The Cheesery on the Drak Gardens road is also a must visit as is the Museum in Himeville.
